Colin Belcourt brings more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, technology development and executive leadership, with a career spanning Canada's national cybersecurity and intelligence organizations and the private sector.
As Vice President of Research and Development at Field Effect, Colin leads the development of advanced cybersecurity technologies designed to protect organizations against evolving threats. A hands-on technologist, he stays closely engaged in the engineering work, including how emerging technologies like AI can strengthen threat detection and response.
Prior to joining Field Effect, Colin served as Director of Risk Mitigation Programs at the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security, where he led national initiatives to help government and organizations of all sizes understand and mitigate cybersecurity risks. He also held key leadership positions at the Communications Security Establishment (CSE), where he helped build advanced cyber operations capabilities and led the teams of analysts who put them to use.
