As a rapidly growing cybersecurity company with major goals, it’s imperative we have the right people with the right skill, experience, and passion in leadership positions. After all, our executive team plays a critical role in driving the company forward and fulfilling our mission of protecting small and mid-sized businesses worldwide from cyber threats.
This is why we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve added two new leaders to our executive team, Tom Paone as Chief Revenue Officer and Rob Sloan as Chief Technology Officer.
“Tom and Rob are among the very best in their fields, and we’re thrilled to have them join the team,” said Matt Holland, our founder and CEO. “Tom will be key in leading our growth by further enabling the sales team to educate our clients and potential clients to protect themselves from cybercriminals. Rob will be a game changer as we continue to scale and evolve our products to provide holistic cybersecurity to businesses all over the world. They’ve only just begun and are already making a major difference in the organization.”
Tom brings over 25 years of experience in sales, leadership, marketing, and business development with companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500 organizations.
He excels in creating channel go-to-market strategies and implementing both direct and partner-centric sales models that support consistent and predictable revenue growth. This experience will be vital as we strive to serve more small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), as well as the managed service providers (MSPs) who support them.
Previously, Tom was SVP of Global Sales for Infrascale and, before that, held sales leadership positions in leading technology companies like Symantec and Veritas Software.
“The first thing that struck me about Field Effect is how remarkable the product-market fit is,” said Tom, CRO at Field Effect. “I’m excited to work with the sales and customer success team to support more customers and partners than ever before, giving businesses access to the most powerful cybersecurity solutions in the world.”
As our CRO, Tom will continue the hard work and dedication of our Chief Growth Officer-turned-Chief Product Officer, Shri Kalyanasundaram. As our first-ever Chief Product Officer, Shri will formalize our products, focusing on many areas including functionality, service integration, delivery, and more.
Rob Sloan, our new Chief Technology Officer, is a veteran of leading software development teams, with a focus on carrier-grade communication platforms. Through leadership positions with companies such as Nortel, GENBAND, and Ribbon Communications, Rob has led teams ranging from a few developers to large multi-site, multi-disciplined organizations.
“Field Effect is solving a critical problem in the cybersecurity industry, and I’m thrilled to join as CTO and play a role in the solution,” said Rob. “Field Effect’s innovative technology is at the core of our service and makes us truly unique in the cybersecurity space. Fueled by the deep expertise and passion of our truly outstanding team, we will continue to scale and evolve our state-of-the-art cybersecurity products.”
Most recently, Rob was VP of R&D at Kandy Communications, where he built the team which conceived, delivered, and operated a cloud-native communications-platform-as-a-service (CPaaS) for AT&T. Rob’s passion for innovation and continuous improvement will cement Field Effect’s position as a trailblazer in the cybersecurity industry.
